Dog Car Sickness

Week 1: Recondition by doing 10 sits, 10 downs and 5 mintue stays in the car without the car moving or being on, with all the doors open, two times a day, 10 repitions, followed by playing the dog's favorite game in the yard afterwards. Do this for 1 week.

Week 2: Same as above, but either turn on or turn off the motor or drive in and out of driveway, but no further.

Week 3: Same as above, but drive slowly around block and back.

Week 4: Go to a nearby park, play on a 20 foot leash for 20 minutes, go in car, drive 6 feet, stop, go out and play, and repeat this 4 times.

Starting Week 5: Go for longer and longer trips.

That should do it.

You can also consult with your vet on some anti-nausea meds.
